Louisiana in 25 photos or less

louisiana in photosIn December, Jacob and I decided to take our Arkansas Adventures out of the state and headed further south to Cajun Country in Louisiana.  Jake has a cousin who leaves about 45 minutes outside New Orleans, so we packed up and headed to see them. Here is our trip in 25 photos or less.

My top 15 highlights of 2015

Top 15 travels2015 was an eventful year. My husband and I moved into his grandmother’s house to take care of it. We did a bunch of traveling. We got Chris out of his apartment more than once. Finished our Civil War Passport just in the nick of time and made a trip to New Orleans. It has been an awesome year and I can’t wait to see what 2016 brings.

Civil War

We finally did it. After four years, between my family, my husband, and I, we finally finished my Civil War Passport. It has been quite a journey. We have visited so many places, from battle sites to old buildings.  Here are my favorite stops along the way.

5. Lakeport Plantation

Lakeport

Lakeport Plantation was the second to last stop on the Civil War Passport journey. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to stay and have a tour of the house. The outside of it is simply amazing. We also liked the fact that you could see it from half way down the road.

4. Battle of Reed’s Bridge
